Plot Synopsis:
With her wedding only one day away, Mina spends a night with her former lover, Ozaki, at a highway motel on the outskirts of Yokohama. On her way back, Mina’s car hits a hippie-like youth named Ryo. Shocked by the accident and abandoned by Ozaki, who refuses to get involved, Mina places the unconscious Ryo in her car and drives toward a lake. The narrative unfolds with themes of guilt, desire, and the unforeseen consequences of impulsive decisions.

   “Nikkatsu Roman P0rn0, on the road edition. On her way back from a rendez-vous with a former lover, things go awry as her car hits a young man, Ryo (Yoshizawa Ken). In panic, she eventually decides to go check up on him. He appears dead, so Mina thinks of a way to dispose of the body. This brings her to a lake on and around which much of the action will play out. I really liked the ending. Is this what being free looks like?”

   “Roman p0rn0 about a woman about to be married getting cold feet and trying to run off with her lover – only to accidentally kill (or so she thinks) a man with her car. After getting left by her lover and attempting to dump his body, she becomes engaged with the man she tried to dump instead. Lots of weird plot-twists and genuinely non-sensical character decisions – like when she thinks someone is watching her dump his body and then decides to pretend to have s&x with him?? Imo entertaining for the runtime, but not really as transgressive or insane as the other reviews are making it seem. Camera work’s great, though.”
