Dennis Vehlen – ★★★½
“A Mexican take on ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ with all the 60s b-movie sensibilities you would expect. This is a very stupid movie that’s thankfully also very entertaining because it’s filling its 78 minutes with crude monsters and again a surprising amount of black-and-white blood & gore for the time. They were not afraid to show their creatures a lot and they look awesome. We got a one-eyed cave dweller, a giant spider, killer bats, random dinosaur footage and best of all the main monster that looks like a man-bat.” -
Paul Senior – ★★½
“Prime cheese from Mexico as an expedition into some caves turns out to be a bad idea. 78 minutes of lightweight adventure that goes hard on the monster bloodshed. Our heroes get crushed, eaten and burned at a rapid rate. Enjoyed the wackiness and stupidity quite a bit, this is adorable. Loved all the creatures.” -
Steven Millan – ★★★
“In this Mexican underground monsters romp from director Alfredo B. Crevenna, a tour group of underground cavern explorers accidentally discover a secret mystery after a couple fall down a hole and are attacked by a subterranean creature that kills the guy and leaves the gal in a catatonic state. A group of scientists then venture into the caverns to find out what happened, only to encounter various monsters and creatures.”
