Donkey Kong Country is a 1994 platformer for the SNES developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. A reboot of the Donkey Kong franchise, it follows Donkey Kong and his nephew Diddy as they try to recover their stolen bananas from King K. Rool and his Kremling army. Featuring 40 side-scrolling levels, players run, jump, ride animals, collect items, and battle enemies. The game includes both single-player and two-player cooperative or competitive modes.
