Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. SilentDawn★★★★
“There is nothing quite like Electric Dragon 80.000 V. An amphetamine rush of noise and visual fervor, Gakuryū Ishii’s 55-minute experiment is an electrifying trip.”

  2. CaptainC★★★½
“This is punk cinema through and through. Loud, grainy, and full of rage with a minimal plot but maximum energy.”

  3. groovymoo★★★★★
“Tadanobu Asano electrifies the screen—literally. Everything about this screams style and swagger.”

  4. sean_noonan★★★★
“What if a movie was just feedback, static, and lightning rage? Then it’d probably look a lot like this.”

  5. EyeballKid★★★½
“You don’t watch this, you get zapped by it. It’s loud, it’s weird, and it absolutely rules.”
