Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Avirup – ★★★☆☆
“A fairly decent melodrama. Simple in its setup, the conflict here is basically the rural life with all its traditions and rules and the dream and lure of city life. Well done with some moving sequences and the familiar cast is pretty good too. Also, it looks really nice as one of Toho’s earliest colour films, lots of nice images even in this poor print.”
