Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Michael Shawn – ★★★☆☆
“Unlike most, I really enjoyed this light musical comedy in which a formerly rich brother and sister, down on their luck, rent out their house and pose as the butler and cook when the hired servants don’t show up. The woman who rents the house is a royal pain, but the siblings show her by falling in love with her daughter and the daughter’s fiancé. It starts out with a bit of explicit racism that is jarring to modern audiences, but if you can get past that, it’s a fun little romp with some catchy tunes.”
  2. Caroline – ★★★★☆
“Could have gone for Honey saying ‘the centa’ a few more times but other than that no notes.”
