Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Scumbalina★½
“Never have I seen such a cruel and dehumanizing film. No artistic merit, totally pointless. Because of how the story unfolds you’re forced to have sympathy for the victim as she’s relentlessly abused. She’s not a passing nameless figure, she’s the protagonist, and you get to see her completely decimated for an hour and a half. There’s nothing cool about this movie. I felt less shitty after watching Red to Kill. A catastrophic mood killer. I need a shower.”

  2. ELECTRICWIZARDx★★★½
“Fucking hell, this was unwaveringly bleak. I was gonna do a pinky triple feature, but I changed my mind at the last minute and went for some cat III sleaze. This is unflinching. A grim and sordid affair, that like some of its more well known peers exploits a real life murder case. What we get here is a downward spiral that starts in the throws of squalor, drug addiction and prostitution and ends up in the cellar of rock bottom. Complete human degradation, humiliation, torture and neglect culminating in murder and dismemberment.”

  3. DoomGeneration★★★
“I’ve seen worse from Cat III but this is still rough. Gritty, raw, very little stylistic flair, just pure grime and bleakness. Not one I’ll revisit but it did leave a mark.”

  4. slashtastic★★★½
“True crime horror isn’t easy to pull off, but this one manages to keep things grounded in disturbing reality. You feel sick watching it, which is probably the point. Not for the faint-hearted.”

  5. cinemashock★★
“Mean-spirited and hopeless. While I get the intent, I don’t think I ever want to see this again. Hard to recommend unless you’re deep into Cat III territory.”
