   “A slow-paced adaptation of Matsumoto Seichō’s novel, beautifully shot with real locations that capture the grandeur of the Japanese Alps. The story explores a man framed for murder, with nature’s avalanche serving as poetic justice for the guilty. While visually stunning, the motive and pacing feel conventional and overly drawn out.”

   “Interesting. I enjoyed the structure and the overall atmosphere; however, the ending felt too abrupt and underwhelming. Once the second half kicks in, it becomes obvious that Eda is hiding something, but the big reveal—the motive—just didn’t seem interesting enough to warrant such an elaborate plan on his part. I was genuinely hoping it to be something work-related instead of a banal ‘he’s been having an affair with my wife, so I have to kill him.'”
