YINSED – ★☆☆☆☆
“Someday I hope I can get a quality ‘Gawrsh’ come to out of my mouth. Everyone that can manage to either that or his laugh has my respect.” -
Chris Trengove – ★★★☆☆
“The backgrounds aren’t all that special, but the Goofy world is fairly well attended to, both aesthetically and within the detail, while Max is a good companion character to Sir Goofs. The songs kind of stink across the board, but there’s also an earnestness to the emotional beats that works nonetheless. Probably didn’t need the Mickey or Donald cameos, at least how they were presented.” -
Brandon Wettig – ★★★★☆
“A yearly staple. Every May/June for ‘out of school’/ start of ‘summer vacation’ season and generally overlapping with my Disney Park prep lineup of movies. This time, I watched this during peak burnout from work, and it still put a smile on my face! One of the most special movies to me.” -
Jacob the Weeb – ★★☆☆☆
“We can just replace Home on the Range with A Goofy Movie in the canon and no one would even care! Come on, what’s Dinosaur 2000 ever done for anybody? Get f***ed, Brother Bear! (Well ok, Brother Bear had a promising first 10 minutes, but we can’t talk about what happens after that.) Anyway, put more respect on A Goofy Movie’s name. a GOATed movie.”

Title: An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000)
Max Goof heads off to university with dreams of independence and joining the ultimate college X-Games team. His hopes are complicated when his father Goofy, newly unemployed and suffering from empty-nest syndrome, enrolls at the same college to earn his degree. Goofy’s awkward presence causes friction with Max and his friends, especially when Max refuses to join the dominant “Gamma Mu Mu” fraternity and its leader Bradley Uppercrust III tries to recruit him. As the X-Games tournament nears and family tensions pile up, the father and son must learn how to support one another — while Goofy uncovers Bradley’s cheating scheme and Max realises that freedom and responsibility can go hand in hand.

“It’s just a flimsy excuse to get Goofy back into a place where he can continue to embarrass Max again, and really, that’s a lot of this movie: a flimsy excuse.” -

“A fine out of ten. A mediocre DTV flick with good highlights. In terms of Disney sequels I’d put it above Bambi 2 and below Jungle Book 2.” -
