kat – ★★★½
“A deadly seductress, Lilith, leads many unsuspecting men into destruction with her charms. This lascivious maiden, with her beautiful exterior, has likely spent ages burning in hell before coming to the surface. The story starts off quite simple, and the tension doesn’t build up much. But there are moments when things escalate quickly, especially when Lilith is unleashed or invades the men’s dreams. The movie packs a decent amount of tricks and little details. Plus, there’s plenty of gore on display. Unfortunately, Night Angel has a rather bumpy storyline. Still, it makes up for that with strong horror elements. The finale is quite pleasant, especially when Lilith gets a great makeover. With more careful direction, this could have had much more to offer.” -
Dennis Vehlen – ★★★★
“Night Angel is a surprisingly awesome early 90s b-horror movie that has it all – great gory KNB effects, some nudity, insane dream sequences, great creatures, Karen Black, Phil Fondacaro (in yet another ‘Lilith’ themed movie before Bordello of Blood), Doug Jones (NOT playing a creature!), and that all-around nice late 80s – early 90s horror vibe. This is a real gem if you’re into that kind of video store horror magic.” -
Magic Rat Movies – ★★★
“The absolute definition of late 80s sleaze horror. It’s got the model possessed by a demon, people turning into melty goop monsters, a completely bonkers finale, Karen Black, AND a cameo by Doug Jones. Also a very cute little dog that sadly does not survive.” -
Justin Lore – ★★★½
“Sleazy, synthy, and slick. A fun little horror romp that dips into erotic thriller territory, Night Angel is a welcome find for lovers of that post-Reagan VHS horror goldmine.” -
Aylmer’s Grip – ★★★
“There’s enough weirdness and goop to make this one worth a late-night watch. Not the most coherent plot, but the effects work and the sexy demonic angle really carry it.”
