elgiallo – ★★
“The first part of the Ewok duology… a Star Wars TV movie for kids. The effects are charming, the music is decent, but the story is really barebones and slow at times. Nostalgia may help, but it’s mostly fluff.”
Zevlor – ★★½
“It’s cute in that ’80s low-budget TV movie way, but boy is it a drag in places. Feels like Lucasfilm trying to squeeze a little more juice out of the Star Wars universe before the prequels existed.”
TheFilmSnob – ★★★
“Kind of adorable. The Ewoks are fun, and the story is a simple but decent adventure for kids. If you’re not into Ewoks though, this won’t change your mind.”
Taranovich – ★★
“A curiosity more than anything. Not great, not terrible. The tone is all over the place, and it’s far from essential Star Wars viewing.”
Veronica – ★★★½
“This was my favorite thing as a kid. I still love the world of Endor, and the Ewoks are endearing. It’s slow, yes, but magical in its own weird way.”

RichardGray – ★★★½
“This feels much more like a Star Wars film than its predecessor. It’s much darker and more focused on a single character arc. Still has some clunky storytelling, but a big improvement overall.”
TetrisTerrets – ★★★
“This movie is 90 minutes and in that 90 minutes it goes to sleep 3 times, passes the béchamel test, has Wilford Brimley fire a grappling hook, and ends with a space battle.”
GreytheDot – ★★
“Star Wars: Ewoks: The Battle For Endor is exactly the sort of budgeted fantasy/sci-fi drivel that Star Wars was elevated above. This feels like someone let a D&D campaign get wildly out of hand.”
CatPartyNYC – ★★★
“Wow, it’s like they read my review for The Caravan of Courage and listened to my concerns. A surprisingly better entry with more action and an actual villain.”
RazorRex – ★
“Ewoks: The Battle for Endor is an improvement (but not by much). It still feels like a made-for-TV oddity that’s hard to recommend to anyone but Star Wars completists.”
