   “Gnarly practical effects, a grimy and dirty aesthetic, and decent performances make Psychotica/Nostrum an ugly and brutal good time. I picked this up randomly at a Movie Trading Company about a month ago and have been waiting for the right time to watch it. I’m currently home sick with step, so I figured tonight is as good a time as any. I really love the way this movie looks. There’s a look to grimy low-budget horror that just adds so much style and atmosphere to even a shitty script, but luckily, this script isn’t shitty. The movie doesn’t seem to judge or hate junkies and even attempts to have something to say about those in power using drugs to eliminate…”

2. GORY B MOVIE – ★½☆☆
   “This is one of those scripts where the characters feel like they were written by aliens. No one behaves like a normal human being in this movie. They’ll see someone die horribly and are visibly upset but in the next scene, they’re over it. The story is also unnecessarily complicated. They should have just focused on the main cast and not included the b-story of the guy hunting them down. That didn’t make any sense and wasn’t at all interesting. The only good thing I can say about this movie is that the practical effects are great. There are some gory kills and a few truly horrific moments.”

   “Despite my low rating on this movie, I actually rather enjoyed it. It has to do with a group of friends who use drugs. After seeing one of their friends kill himself after a bad trip, they decide to take off to an abandoned farmhouse one of them knows about. They say they will get clean but they end up using more drugs while there. Meanwhile, someone is looking for them because they have some drugs that turn people into murders and this person wants the drugs and anyone that knows about them gone for good.”

   “Wow just Wow. We have a bunch of heroin junkies that are on a weekend for their last binge. Little do they know that they have a batch that was made to turn them into killers. Poor acting and moves too slow but it wasn’t horrible. I have seen much worse but it does have tons of gaps in the story.”
