Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Patrick Pryor – ★★★☆☆
“Space Amoeba is a fun kaiju flick that doesn’t quite reach the heights of Honda’s earlier works. The monster designs are creative, but the story feels a bit recycled. Still, it’s an enjoyable watch for fans of the genre.”
  2. Andrew Smith – ★★★★☆
“Ishirō Honda delivers another entertaining giant monster movie with Space Amoeba. The special effects are impressive for the time, and the film has a charming, nostalgic feel. Definitely worth a watch for kaiju enthusiasts.”
  3. Sarah Johnson – ★★☆☆☆
“While the concept is intriguing, Space Amoeba falls short in execution. The pacing is slow, and the characters lack depth. The monsters are the highlight, but they can’t fully save the film.”
