Slig001 – ★☆☆☆☆
“Apparently there wasn’t enough new footage shot to make it feature length, so the film is padded out with clips from the first one. There’s even a part where the dog has a flashback. Michael Berryman reappears as Pluto, but in line with the ethos of the movie, it’s a perfunctory performance. There’s only a couple of half decent kill scenes, though these don’t do enough to justify the movie. The third act does feature some nice red and green lighting, but really I’m just scraping the barrel for nice things to say. It’s pretty boring stuff on the whole. Just dull characters doing dull things in a situation that always at least vaguely resembles that from the original film. I wouldn’t call The Hills Have Eyes a classic as such, but it’s pretty great compared to this low rent sequel.” -

“Unlikable characters who make all the dumb decisions makes this a less effective movie from the first one. Still some brutal gore and cool mutant effects. Utilizes the score from the original.” -

“Their guns are accessories in this movie.”
