Reviews from Letterboxd:
-
Mister Cap – ★★★★
“4 out of 5 stars for this Wallace classic? I know, it sounds like Rialto sent me a suitcase full of bribe money, but hear me out. The film is an absolute delight if you enjoy morbid kitsch, bizarre characters, and the constant suspicion that Klaus Kinski might just kill everyone at any moment.” -
Schratzi – ★★★★½
“After two minor entries in a row, the Rialto series bounces back in style with a major delight and one of my top favorite Krimis. What’s especially fascinating is that The Indian Scarf is among the most atypical Wallaces and tweaks the standard Krimi formula in quite exhilarating ways.” -
Justin – ★★★
“One of several dozen Edgar Wallace adaptations from Germany made in the 60s. Possible heirs gather for the reading of a will and are bumped off one by one by a gloved killer who (usually) strangles them with a silk scarf. Well-made and acted, with a good sense of humor, but ‘been there, done that’ plot-wise. Klaus Kinski plays a junkie sculptor, so that’s a plus.”
