“It’s a man’s world everywhere. You can’t escape it. To survive… suck men’s blood. In a parasite-ridden world filled with mosquitos, leeches, and men, two sisters fall victim to deceit, betrayal, and s&xual violence. The younger sister murders her horrible husband and then attempts to martyr herself by embarking on a 1,000-man tour, while her elder sibling plots a diabolical cuckolding revenge. Being a fan of director Ikuo Sekimoto and writer Yozo Tanaka, and also partial to nymphomaniacs, I was eager to plunge into this provocative and tantalizing Toei tale. While far from either’s finest film work, with plenty of bumps (and grinds) along the way, there is enough cinematic grandeur from Sekimoto and beautiful beastliness from Tanaka…”

“A very different Tale of Two Sisters. What starts as a darkly-comedic plot of Yuriko Hishimi planning her revenge on an ex-lover suddenly transforms into the tragic story of her sister selling herself into (free) prostitution to make amends. They seem to want to show the different ways each sister goes about s&x, but it admittedly isn’t conveyed too well, and the two stories don’t really have much connective tissue. But Yuriko Hishimi was great! Wish she headlined more films for Toei (or anybody). Very nice cinematography as well.”
