Reviews from Letterboxd:
- greenwich – ★★★☆☆
“A French film noir shot in black and white, based on a novel by Frédéric Dard. The story is simple but lacks plausibility, much like the beautifully shot introduction. The film serves as a sort of closed-door love triangle with a mysterious atmosphere, though not particularly captivating.”
- Avirup – ★★★★☆
“Finally a central mystery we can all relate to and find interesting, ‘whose boobs were those?!’ A simple but a great setup. There’s a good level of visual sophistication and character interactions with the hangout vibes keep things interesting and there’s little bit of psychological elements of being ignored. End reveal is obviously predictable but overall decent pulpy fun.”
- Scott Kelly – ★★★☆☆
“There’s no Wolfman Jack to help Curt locate the ultra blonde Suzanne Somers roaming around in her white T-Bird in this one – it’s Robert Hossein’s brooding hitchhiker trying to figure out which beautiful blonde lookalike sister – the able-bodied one played by Odile Versois or the wheelchair-bound one played by Marina Vlady – picked him up, stripped down to her birthday suit then pulled a gun on him. The last of the four straight films Hossein directed starring then-wife Vlady. Versois was Vlady’s real-life sister, so the necessary resemblance works in spades.”
