Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Jerry McGlothlin – ★★★★
“I LIVE for these kinds of weird, unique, artsy, anomalous sci-fi/horror films that work on their own but have a lot to offer in terms of deeper meaning if one were to look for it. Wolf’s Hole is a terrifying Czech film from Věra Chytilová that is especially disturbing considering the political subtext it holds just under the frozen surface.”

  2. Jiovanny – ★★★
“She was really going to leave the dog behind lol.”

  3. Diego – ★★★
“It’s coolio but nothing really special. Cinematography was fairly decent most of the time but used zooms every other shot. The alien seizures were good.”

  4. Peri – ★★½
“Poor performances and unsubtle dialogue make for a surprisingly amateurish film from one of the most acclaimed directors of the Czechoslovak New Wave. Hard to square this and Something Different in my head.”

  5. Dylan Banks – ★★½
“I very much enjoyed the formal/stylistic flourishes on this (though having seen Daisies, part of me was expecting this to be even more bonkers). Honestly, it has so many things going for it, but part of me felt an occasional repetitive tediousness to the script and story that really wore down my overall appreciation.”
