Plot Synopsis:
Sandra returns to her hometown of Volterra, Tuscany, with her American husband, Andrew, to attend a ceremony honoring her father, who died in Auschwitz. Her return brings her face to face with her troubled family history and her brother Gianni, with whom she shares a deeply complicated bond. As long buried memories and accusations surrounding their father’s death resurface, Andrew begins to realize that Sandra’s family is haunted by secrets that have never truly been laid to rest.
