Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. c h r i s★★★☆☆
“Watched on YouTube with the funniest, out-of-sync English generated subtitles, making the first 30 minutes tolerable, until the supreme practical effects and body-horror goop and gloop exploded on my screen. Those final 15 minutes were some of the finest and gnarliest effects on full display.”

  2. belial_carboni★★★☆☆
“Slow building with scientific experiments, schoolgirl hijinks, and secret conspiracies boiling up to one insane FX-filled climax! And at an hour long, the pacing hardly suffers at all.”

  3. Lord Trash★★★★☆
“Incredible and disgusting. One of the better forgotten 80s Japanese horror tapes. Worth it for the final grotesque transformation alone.”

  4. will★★★☆☆
“Feels like an ultra-low budget attempt at Akira body horror. The ending had me screaming and clapping. Great practical effects.”

  5. filmhazard★★½☆☆
“Mostly slow and confusing, but the final sequence makes the whole thing worthwhile. Total chaos and gore madness—pure Japanese weirdness.”
