Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Sammy – ★★★★☆
“A real great spoof not only pays a comedic homage to the original, it should become its own identity as well. Stephen Chow to me is one of the comedy greats and always will be, his slapstick, delivery and movement is just always so wonderfully timed and hilarious.”
  2. Frodo Smith – ★★★★☆
“It’s so unfair that some spy films get 26 sequels, and significantly better ones don’t get any.”
  3. Lou (rhymes with wow!) – ★★★½☆
“The spy elements in this James Bond spoof made From Beijing with Love more entertaining than 85% of the Hong Kong comedies I’ve seen up until this point, but a lot of the jokes still didn’t work for me. In the end, this gave me more chuckles than actual laugh out loud moments. Many people consider Stephen Chow a comedic genius. I have yet to be convinced.”
