Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. jackalneck★★★½
“This is one of those little horror films that feels like you’ve seen it before but still manages to surprise. The atmosphere is creepy, Lin Shaye steals the show, and the ending is unexpectedly clever.”

  2. SarahofBorg★★★☆☆
“Dead End has that early 2000s direct-to-DVD horror vibe, but it’s surprisingly decent. The acting elevates the script, especially Ray Wise, and the twist lands well.”

  3. SilentDawn★★★½
“Dead End embraces its Twilight Zone energy with a surreal and eerie road-trip-from-hell narrative. It doesn’t overstay its welcome and earns points for creativity and atmosphere.”

  4. daitime★★★☆☆
“A solid, spooky film that builds a good amount of tension with minimal locations. The twist was predictable but still satisfying. The family dynamics made it more engaging than expected.”

  5. Xanadon’t★★★½
“I love a compact, clever horror film, and Dead End delivers. A simple concept executed with restraint and a sense of humor. Lin Shaye is especially great here.”
