Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Ziglet_mir – ★★½
“He’s my Uncle’s brother! What a wacky, nonsensical rendezvous down campy B-film lane! Basically a rip off (and a blatant one at that) of Creature From the Black Lagoon with a western twist. A man’s burial goes south when the attendees learn the body has disappeared from the casket. Secrets unfold about the family who run the town, and our cowboy posse (just a deputy and his side kick ‘Squirrel Eyes’) experience a slew of crazy antics that one would suspect could be found in the most cherished episodes of Scooby-Doo.”
  2. MushiMinion – ★★★
“Somedays you’ve just got to shrug off a gunshot wound to the face so you can wrassle with Zaat! in a knee-high puddle while wearing your speedos. That’s what being a cowboy is all about.”
  3. nomenclature – ★★★★
“Mexican Western swamp monster thang, like Creature from the Black Lagoon meets The Lone Ranger and ‘Squirrel Eyes’ as his sidekick and ‘Moonlight the dancing horse.’ It’s kind of surreal; what’s most salient among the many interesting things is that it’s actually a murder mystery that gets further compounded by monster attacks, in a busy frontier town full of lotsa different characters and secrets.”
