Title: Robo Vampire (1988)
Genre: Action / Horror / Science Fiction / Exploitation
Plot Synopsis
Narcotics agent Tom Wilde is gunned down during a raid and pronounced dead — only for a shadowy government experiment to reanimate him as a cybernetic android. Tasked with one final mission, he plunges into the drug-war warren of the Golden Triangle to rescue an undercover operative held by the ruthless crime lord Mr. Young and his monstrous “vampire beast.” As robotic body-horror collides with Hong Kong–style supernatural kung-fu, the mission spirals into surreal chaos and bizarre jump-scares.

Reviews from Letterboxd:
-
TrashMaster3000 — ★★★½
“Glorious nonsense. Robo-vampire? More like robo-confusion, but the hopping undead and cyborg cop are so bad-it’s-good that you can’t look away.” -
FangoriaFan — ★★★
“Barely a plot, mostly stock footage, but director Godfrey Ho turned chaos into cult gold with this one.” -
MidnightMumble — ★★★★
“If you love b-movies, this is a feast: randomness, kung-fu, vampires, robots — all the elements of weirdness aligned.” -
CinephileEmily — ★★
“Fun in the most mind-boggling way — the editing is wild, the story nonexistent, but somehow it sticks in your brain.” -
CultCinemaKing — ★★★★½
“A riot of exploitation tropes stitched together so haphazardly it becomes an art piece of its own. Ridiculous, memorable, essential for Z-movie lovers.”
Meta Description: A cult-classic of chaotic genre mash-ups, Robo Vampire unleashes cyborg cops, hopping undead and cut-and-paste editing in a wild Hong Kong action exploit that delivers spectacularly absurd b-movie mayhem.
