Plot Synopsis:
Dr. Daniel Norris, a dedicated resident physician at Stanwood Hospital, is engaged to Catherine Stanwood, the hospital president’s daughter. Immersed in his quest to find a cure for polio, he inadvertently neglects his fiancée. When a young woman’s surgery is delayed due to her physician’s absence, nurse Ruth Hanlon accuses Dr. Norris and his colleagues of negligence. Adhering to medical ethics, Dr. Norris is compelled to dismiss Ruth for her outspokenness. Their paths cross again when Dr. Clem Driscoll brings in Michael Fielding, an 11-year-old violin prodigy, for treatment. As professional and personal challenges intertwine, Dr. Norris must navigate the complexities of medical ethics, personal relationships, and his relentless pursuit of a medical breakthrough.
