Reviews from Letterboxd:
- Review by Matt Howsam – ★★★☆☆
“Sushi and sashimi spawning teeth, breeding, and creating zombies from those who consume. Rina Takeda is great either selling its self-belief messaging or battling a tuna man. Amid its mayhem, the midsection drags, but Dead Sushi rallies with an inspired sauna shower via decapitation. Uniquely Japanese yet not from Sushi Typhoon despite Yoshihiro Nishimura effects.” - Review by Chris – ★★★☆☆
“A film that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try to be anything else. Ridiculous, over-the-top, and a lot of fun if you’re in the right mood.” - Review by Andrew – ★★★★☆
“Hilarious and gory in equal measure. The concept is absurd, but the execution is spot on for fans of splatter comedies.” - Review by Sarah – ★★★☆☆
“Not for the squeamish, but if you enjoy campy horror with a side of sushi, this is worth a watch.” - Review by Tom – ★★★★☆
“Iguchi delivers another cult classic. The practical effects are delightfully grotesque, and the humor is unapologetically silly.”
