Plot Synopsis:
In A.D. 2009, humanity is embroiled in a war against giant humanoid aliens known as the Zentradi and Meltrandi. Aboard the SDF-1 Macross spaceship, survivors from South Ataria Island journey back to Earth. Amidst the conflict, fighter pilot Hikaru Ichijyo becomes entangled in a love triangle with pop idol Lynn Minmay and officer Misa Hayase.
