“gotta be real with you guys the only reason i’m gracing this with 1.5 is for hot criminal jimmy stewart with his approximate 3 minutes of hot criminal screen time because what the hell was this”

“Omg Jimmy Stewart being in this for only like 30 seconds… he ate up all of his screen time.”

  3. liza★★★★☆
“the story concerns diva-like Canadian opera star Marie de Flor (Jeanette MacDonald) who runs to the big city undercover to manage a family crisis: her no-decent brother John Flower (James Stewart) has gotten away from jail and is entrenched in a cabin in the North Woods of Ontario. On encountering Sergeant Bruce (Nelson Eddy), the Canadian Mountie who has been designated to track down the fugitive convict, she falls for the good-looking cop.”

“My year with Jimmy continues! And boy was this a hard one to get through. I’m going to be spoiling parts of the movie so don’t read on if you don’t want this obscure 1936 movie spoiled. Jimmy arrives in the final ~15 minutes, and even then he probably has ~7 minutes of screentime. He plays the wanted-for-murder brother of our main character, so he’s mentioned throughout the movie, you just don’t ever meet him till the end. His few minutes were good, I just didn’t have enough time with him. I don’t even know how to rate this movie.”

“Another entertaining MacDonald and Eddy movie with beautiful songs!”
