Alan Smithee – ★★★½
“Young ass Rufus Wainwright is in this, and he sings ‘I’m Running’, which is unironically a pretty great song. Definitely a highlight, alongside the didgeridoo guy (he was cool).”
SilentAlly – ★★½
“For 1988 there seems to be a strange obsession with stamp collecting in this town old and young. Yes, stamps hold strange magical powers that people can use to entrap others or be mailed across the world…”
Bretto – ★★★½
“This was a super fun hidden gem from the ’80s that felt like it was made for kids by kids. Uncut Gems but with the cast of Peanuts about Canadian stamp collectors.”
TheLegend277245 – ★½
“Unbelievably wild.”
nataliemitchell – Liked
“Fantastic things in this movie: kids talking about stamps as if they are drugs, Montreal being icky, that kazoo song, ‘tall trees tall trees big tall trees’, kangaroo mailing a letter…”
