Plot Synopsis:
Set in the samurai era, the film portrays the life of Jirocho of Shimizu, a benevolent and honorable gambling boss. After discovering that a fugitive responsible for his associate’s death is being sheltered by another boss, Kansuke, misunderstandings lead to escalating tensions. Jirocho, urged by his wife and fellow boss Omaeda, seeks a path of peace and atonement, assisting the needy and renouncing violence. However, Kurokoma, Kansuke’s nephew, exploits Jirocho’s pacifism, plotting a confrontation that tests Jirocho’s resolve and principles.
