Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. BA_Harrison – ★★★★☆
“Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS certainly deserves its reputation as a nasty film. Although it is thoroughly cheesy, poorly acted, routinely directed, and extremely camp at times, the film still packs a punch due to its ability to offend and disgust at every turn; the depiction of Nazi atrocities in the name of entertainment is hard to defend (so I’m not even going to try) and this movie pulls no punches with its well-executed graphic violence and horrific torture scenes.”
  2. EVOL666 – ★★★★★
“ILSA – SHE WOLF OF THE SS is the first in the ‘infamous’ series of exploitation films featuring buxom ball-breaker, Dyanne Thorne. These films are a classic example of true exploitation cinema and should be checked out by any fan of ‘extreme’ or exploitation films. Short version: Ilsa is the head b*tch at a Nazi experimentation camp. She has several nude scenes throughout the movie and anyone who watches Ilsa will no doubt remember her more for her large breasts than her acting ability. Ilsa She Wolf of the SS is a noteworthy entry into the world of exploitation films and should be the starting point for anyone who journeys into this genre. I rate it as a 10 because it knows what it is and does not pretend to try for anything higher.”
  3. DVD_Connoisseur – ★★★★☆
“‘Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS’ is a superior exploitation film from director Don Edmonds. Despite being over 30 years old, the movie still has the ability to shock with its unblinking scenes of torture. Dyanne Thorne is excellent in the title role as the mature SS officer, Ilsa. Thorne is chillingly ruthless and believable in the movie.”

  1. Gang_Star – ★★★☆☆
“Despite Ilsa’s death in Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS, Ilsa returns for a sequel in the series. Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheik focuses more on s&x than the sick torture of its predecessor. Despite some brutal moments, this movie never comes close to a much stronger predecessor.”
  2. FilmFanatic – ★★☆☆☆
“S&xploitation fans who can’t get enough of Dyanne Thorne’s buxomy blonde b*tch Ilsa (first seen in 1973’s Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS) will likely be thrilled to see her magically resurrected for this first of three follow-up titles in the series.”
  3. BA_Harrison – ★★★★☆
“Dyanne Thorne returns as buxom b*tch Ilsa, in ‘Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks—the second in the infamous exploitation series that began with the sleazy and repugnant She Wolf of the SS.”

Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. DJ Inferno – ★★★☆☆
“I’ve always been a huge fan of the wonderfully depraved Ilsa series: ‘She Wolf of the SS’ is a classic s&xploitation sicko, ‘Harem Keeper’ a funny desert adventure, and ‘Tigress’ a silly but entertaining secret agent story. However, Jess Franco’s more indirect sequel is the most disturbing one, because ‘The Wicked Warden’ is the most realistic installment, and the silly humor of the other parts is totally missing. The WIP part of the series.”
  2. Sean Leonard – ★★☆☆☆
“Ilsa, now a vicious warden, runs a mental hospital for young women. A girl deliberately ‘checks’ in to the hospital to find out what has happened to her sister who stayed there. Meanwhile, Ilsa and one of the guards are forcing the inmates to have s&x with male prisoners, filming them, and selling it as p0rn flicks.”

Ilsa, the Tigress of Siberia (1977)

Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Tim Timmermans – ★★½
“Your body is so full and warm! Like Mother Russia herself!” In the cold vastness of Siberia, Gulag 14 is located. Here, Ilsa is in charge, and she is as cruel as ever. The first part of the movie is set in the gulag, where prisoners are tortured and subjected to inhumane conditions. After Stalin’s death, the camp is closed, and Ilsa disappears. The second part takes place in Montreal, where a former prisoner recognizes Ilsa, leading to a confrontation. The film feels like two movies in one, with the first part being more engaging.
  2. 𝕷𝖎𝖟𝖟 – ★★★
Dyanne Thorne really understands how to embody and capture the essence of “Ilsa.” After watching “She Wolf of the SS,” I thought this film might follow a similar path, but it felt like I was watching two movies in one. I really enjoyed the first part, where they torture the prisoners and use the tiger for it. I think they could have used this animal to increase the executions. However, 20 minutes later, the film changes completely, and it becomes a different story. I wish they had focused more on the gulag setting throughout the film.

Meta Description:
“Ilsa, the Tigress of Siberia” (1977) is a horror-thriller directed by Jean LaFleur, featuring Dyanne Thorne as Ilsa, a brutal commander of a Siberian gulag who resurfaces years later, leading to a deadly confrontation with a former prisoner.
