Reviews from Letterboxd:

  1. Blake Bergman “Various Spaghetti” – ★★★★
“Check any and all expectations at the door because Special Silencers will melt your brain. This is schlock on nitro fuel, with every scene more unhinged than the last.”

  2. Hexagore – ★★★★
“Watched the Mondo Macabro Blu-ray of this batshit insane Indonesian exploitation flick. Arizal never disappoints!”

  3. Jon Peters – ★★★★
“Filmmaker Andrew Leavold describes Special Silencers as ‘swimming in a sea of insanity.’ This Indonesian exploitation film delivers eye-popping and jaw-dropping moments, even for the most jaded cult film fan.”

  4. Cliff – ★★★★
“Thin plotting, even thinner characterization, wild stunt work, and daft body horror combine to make a supremely silly but highly entertaining goodies vs. baddies romp.”

  5. Lexzilla – ★★★
“Local politics can be brutal. Like, if your grandfather chooses studying over ambition, your family never gets into power, and you don’t inherit the mayor’s title. So mean.”
