Reviews from Letterboxd

1. CinemaVoid 🏴‍☠️ — ★★★★
“A virgin alien princess turns into a scantily clad superhero whenever someone tries to pop her cherry and teams with a nerdy entomologist to fight a voluptuous kaiju Statue of Liberty. It’s city pop meets tokusatsu porn. Essential Incel cinema.”
2. Lexxx — ★★★★
“Eiko is adorable in her Sailor Moon-esque costume flying around on her scooter that had a heart-shaped GPS!!!!!!! She also meets an amateur entomologist straight out of Pokémon who carries a lil bug glossary everywhere. This featured giant dung beetles, giant spiders, giant slimy tongues, wacky puppets, and a Statue of Liberty robot with nipples!!! There were so many cool robots and creatures for Eiko to annihilate. I loved this so much <3”
3. Lou (rhymes with wow!) — ★★★½
“Young Eiko has a superpower. Every time someone gets handsy with her (or, more accurately, tries to pop her cherry) against her will, she changes into the superhero Star Virgin. Sorta like Shazam, but with a chastity belt.”
4. JMP4 — ★★★★
“Absurd levels of production design on this. It does so much with exposing how small its budget it, while still becoming a spectacle.”
