Plot Synopsis:
In the years following the Civil War, Colonel Carrington is assigned to construct a chain of forts across Sioux territory in Wyoming. Former cavalry scouts Jim Bridger and “Dakota” Jack Gaines are recruited to help negotiate with Chief Red Cloud and prevent the situation from erupting into war. As tensions rise over the Army’s expansion into the territory, the soldiers prepare to rely on a newly developed Springfield rifle if peaceful negotiations fail.
